3.0 Subsisting in Ukraine – Introduction

This module covers the topics of where to stay and what and where to eat. There are now many options available to visitors, in terms of accommodation and eating (either in or out), but some establishments can be quite expensive, with many hotels and restaurants aimed at wealthy Ukrainians and foreign business people. With the right information, though, you can find inexpensive and pleasant places to eat and stay.

By working through Module 3 you will practise:

• reading and understanding information on eating in Ukraine
• listening to and understanding details of different types of accommodation
• understanding and noting accommodation requirements in Ukrainian
• the vocabulary and grammatical structures needed to understand spoken and written information relating to accommodation and food and to discuss this topic.
