* If the negatives «ніхто», «ніщо» or «ніякий» are used with prepositions (as in the locative case, above), the word is divided into its two components, and the preposition is sandwiched in between, for example:
| Вона ні з ким не говорила. | She spoke with no-one. |
| Іван ні на чому не економить. | Ivan isn't making savings on anything. |
| Прем'єр ні в якому разі не піде у відставку. | The PM won't resign under any circumstances. |
