Конвенція про охорону та розвиток Карпат – Карпатська конвенція – прийнята 5 років тому у Києві за спільної згоди семи країн: Чехії, Угорщини, Польщі, Румунії, Сербії, Словаччини та України.

The convention on the protection and development of the Carpathians, the Carpathian Convention, was adopted 5 years ago in Kyiv by common agreement between seven countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.

Цей документ визначив основні принципи співпраці між сторонами задля збалансованого розвитку Карпат.

This document set out the fundamental principles for co-operation between the parties to promote the balanced development of the Carpathians.

За словами директора львівського Музею природи, «...ми крок за кроком губимо найцінніші осередки культурні.»

According to the Director of the Lviv Nature Museum, "... we are gradually (step by step) losing our most precious cultural sites."

«До реєстру може бути внесено близько тисячі пам'яток культури.»

"Approximately a thousand cultural monuments may be included in the register."

«Для цього у нас існують спеціальні програми.»

"We have special programmes for this".

Отже, на часі – обробка локальних списків пам'яток культури, історії та природи, і занесення їх у реєстр.

So the processing of local lists of cultural, historical and natural monuments is timely.

А також – створення належних умов для їх збереження.

As well as creating suitable conditions for their preservation.
